HEDNESFORD Town and Ashton United were forced to settle for a share of the spoils after two first-half goals failed to be followed up.
The home side almost opened the scoring in the eighth minute when James Lawrie saw his first time shot strike the inside of the post.
After a couple of half chances were snuffed out it would be the visitors that would strike first after 26 minutes when good interplay saw Jack Dyche through and although his shot was saved, Matthew Chadwick was on hand to fire home.
