WORKINGTON made an explosive start to the new season with three goals in the first 20 minutes.
They went on to win well against an Halesowen side who also had their moment in the game.
Workington went in front on two minutes when a Dave Symington corner was headed back across goal by Josh Calvert. Jack Ryan dived forward to head home.
Ryan and Sam Joel linked well on eight minutes to set up Scott Allison who scored with a low shot.
