PRE-SEASON title favourites Stourbridge were sunk without trace by Marine who proved the much better side throughout.
Marine made all the early running and were rapidly rewarded with a goal within 90 seconds.
Impressive Danny Mitchley whipped in a low cross from the right which Glassboys goalkeeper Matt Gould failed to hold, allowing James Murray to pounce on possession and ram home.
Marine should have made it two on nine minutes when Mitchley carved his way past a couple of flimsy tackles but failed to convert with only Gould to beat.
