AFTER four consecutive wins, Buxton had the opportunity to go top of the table against Mickleover who had defeated high-flying Grantham in midweek.
Sports deservedly took the points in the Derbyshire derby, bossing the exchanges.
Luke Hinsley had a shot blocked but that was a rare home threat, while at the other end Zeph Thomas had a shot beaten away but then the striker wasted a good chance by firing wide.
However, the visitors led when the experienced Pablo Mills netted with a free header from a corner.
