■A LOOPING header from Adam Hughes rescued visiting Marine a point after Matlock turned the game on its head in the second half.
Matlock were asleep when Danny Mitchley met a cross from the right from a quickly taken free kick to fire past Phil Barnes on ten minutes, this being Marine’s first meaningful attack of the game.
Matlock continued to have the lion’s share of the play but lacked the lethal finishing touch to trouble goalkeeper Ben Barnes, despite the best efforts of Shaun Harrad.
