THIS game was not one for the purists as the two teams battled it out to no avail.
A sluggish start by the home side saw Whitby Town put some pressure on the hosts with a couple of nearly chances.
Ducks striker Chib Chilaka had the first real effort on goal as his volley flew over the bar on eight minutes.
There was a big shout on 12 minutes for a penalty to the visitors as Matty Tymon appeared to receive an elbow from Kelvin Lugsden.
