CLUB SECRECY IN PRE-SEASON IS INSULT TO US

GLAD another pre-season is over, with most of Step 3 and 4 joining in with competitive matches yesterday. While I enjoy a bit of summer football, especially balmy evenings in settings looking their best, I don’t enjoy the way paying customers are treated. I took in a couple of friendlies and there was neither programme nor team sheet, and at one of the games, not even any team announcements.
At one, I did manage to photograph an official’s team sheet but it contained four players listed as just ‘Trialist’. At the other, there were two players on the same side wearing...
