WHITBY ended a run of four straight league defeats with a hard-fought win, sealed by Dale Hopson’s second half penalty.
They led inside four minutes. Junior Mondal racing onto Hopson’s through ball, poking his shot across keeper Oli Byrne and in off the far post.
Brig rallied, forcing Kieran Weledji to clear off his own goal line from a free Brad Carsley header.
