Matty Tymon caught Trinity cold, putting the visitors ahead, stooping to head home a Lewis Maloney cross.
Gainsborough came into the game, creating a host of chances, the best two falling for Alex Simmons.
The first saw him latch on to a fine through ball by Ross Hannah, only to see his effort blocked.
It was the man Simmons again, who went close for Trinity, Norton then doing well to beat a Hannah effort away.
Simmons then squared for Ashley Worsfold, but the frontman’s finish nestle...
