Hopley bags two to sink the Mariners

MARINE were beaten by Witton Albion at a miserable Marine Travel Arena thanks to two goals from Rob Hopley and one from Tom Owens.
The home side took the lead with their first real attempt – following a scramble in the box the ball fell just outside the box and Craig Carney did well to drive it home.
Witton threatened to respond quickly and the Marine defence could only cope for so long as, in the 18th minute, Hopley struck a looping shot from the edge of Marine’s area which found the back of Patrick Wharton’s net.
