SOUTH Shields stayed within a point of leaders Farsley Celtic thanks to an emphatic victory over mid-table Hednesford Town.
Nathan Lowe’s ninth minute strike gave Shields a narrow half-time lead. But they managed to up the tempo in the second half and in the end the Mariners ran away with it after the break with goals from Connor Bell and two from Rob Briggs.
