■ A SECOND-HALF penalty by leading goal scorer Lewis Salmon earned Trafford the points in an enthralling encounter at Shawe View.
After a feisty but goalless first half, Salmon was unlucky in the 53rd minute when he fired against the crossbar after a great cross by Joel Amado.
Ill-discipline cost Prescot dearly when Josh Gregory was sent off for a second bookable offence and a reckless push by Will Avon ended with Salmon dusting himself down and placing the resultant penalty past Oliver Taylor.
