BRIGHOUSE Town earned revenge for a 2-1 defeat in September on Merseyside with a 2-0 home win.
After a first half in which the Cables dominated for the most part, Town scored two goals in a minute to earn their three points.
Carl Stewart scores the first after 51 minutes following a superb cross from the left by Ousman Cham and then a minute later visiting goalkeeper Ollie Taylor should of scooped up the ball but he didn’t, and from 18 yards out Alhassane Keita hammered the ball home.
