GRANTHAM won a close encounter against Scarborough by the odd goal in three.
The hosts had the best of the opening minutes with Remaye Campbell going close. Scarborough had a good chance on four minutes but Grantham’s debutant keeper Adnan Kanuric spread himself to deny Connor Thomson.
The visitors took the lead on six minutes when Kanuric kept out Thomson’s first effort but couldn’t stop him scoring as he followed up.
The Seadogs should have gone two up on 15 minutes but Luke Lofts fired wide with the goal at his mercy.
