VISITORS Mickleover shaded this Derbyshire derby thanks to an eighth-minute strike by experienced forward Stuart Beavon.
The Sports started well, forcing a corner following a neat move on the right.
From the ensuing corner, Pablo Mills’ goal-bound header was expertly tipped over by home keeper Grant Shenton.
However, from the second corner, the ball was cleared only to Beavon, whose 18-yard half-volley found the top corner.
