BUXTON achieved a convincing victory over struggling Hyde to overtake South Shields and move within two points of league leaders Matlock with two fixtures in hand.
By contrast, third bottom Hyde suffered an eighth away defeat in nine league matches, but looked unlike relegation candidates for much of the afternoon.
