LANCASTER secured a notable scalp when they ended Buxton’s 16-match unbeaten league run.
A goal on the half hour mark proved to be the difference and Buxton made every effort to get back into it but came up against some excellent defending.
Buxton had the best of the chances in the opening 20 minutes with Tom Elliott guiding a cross from Jamie Ward wide of goal after 15 minutes and then James Hurst headed over.
