■ CITY OF LIVERPOOL and Kendal Town played out a goalless draw in difficult conditions.
The first half saw the Purps enjoy most of the possession but very few chances of note. Josh Quarless flicked a header onto the roof of the net, while Jack Hazlehurst saw a bobbling long-range effort well held by Oliver Lombard.
The second period again saw City of Liverpool pressing for an opening, and the hosts saw James Murphy have a goal ruled out for offside early on. Kendal defended valiantly but the hosts had a golden opportunity late on. Xenon Bahula ...
