■ A SOLITARY goal 11 minutes from time was enough to give Kendal all three points in an end-to-end battle on an energy-sapping pitch.
Colne looked good early on but Kendal came into the game in an even first half.
Colne started well again after the interval when Paul Dugdale shot wide from a great chance and Lee Pugh saw his goalbound header turned over the bar by Kendal keeper James McGleneghan.
