BEDWORTH started the game the better of the two and took the lead after 26 minutes through a Ryan Nesbitt penalty after Elliott Parrott was hauled down in the box.
Cambridge put the pressure on after that and started to look the likeliest to score, but Bedworth held out and went in at halftime a goal to the good.
Cambridge carried on where they left off in the second half, but it was Bedworth who scored the second through a 30-yard thunderbolt from Liam Lockett after 56 minutes against the run of play.
