■ A DISAPPOINTING Trafford suffered defeat to City of Liverpool.
The match began fairly even, with both sides creating chances, but each defence remained firm and saw the half out goalless.
Liverpool took control in the first 15 minutes of the second period, and edged ahead in the 61st minute after Jack Hazelhurst converted a penalty which he won himself.
Hazlehurst powered the spot kick into the bottom right corner for a deserved lead.
Trafford showed desire to resurrect the game, but a stern defensive performance from CoL kept them at bay.
