AARON Blair was Brightlingsea’s matchwinner as they dragged themselves clear of the drop zone and landed Cray right in it.
Blair’s 71st-minute goal proved vital in a scrappy match between sides who were 20th and 19th in the table at kick-off.
Charlie Durling inspired the hosts with a star man display.
And as the Wands failed to register a shot on target, the Rs made it it seven points from three games in the last ten days.
