■ ON an afternoon of absolutely horrible conditions in Pontefract, it was the hosts who ran out winners in a close battle at Beechnut Lane.
The wind played a big factor as the possession stats would show, meaning it wasn’t the prettiest contest in the world.
Both sides had chances in the first half but were unable to find the back of the net.
