■ LEO Brown’s firsthalf goal secured Sutton the points.
The game began in bright sunlight and Bedworth won an early corner which was cleared.
Sutton took the lead in the 22nd minute after a fairly even passage of play when Luke Redfern hit a 50-yard pass to Nathan Caine who flicked on to Brown who only
had the keeper to beat. In reply, a Bedworth attack led to a crisp shot that rattled the crossbar.
The second half began much as in the first half with neither team getting on top and the play was end to end the best chance came to Sutton ...
