HEBBURN Town director of football Stephen Rutherford admits parting company with FA Vase-winning manager Kevin Bolam was “a tough decision” to make.
A successful twoand-a-half year spell under Bolam was brought to an end this week when he and assistant manager Mick Mulhern were relieved of their duties with his 13th in the NPL East table.
After leading the club’s reserve team to the Step 7 Wearside League title, Bolam stepped up to firstteam management for the first time ahead of the 2018/19 season.
