■THE sending off of Brighouse keeper Brett Souter overshadowed all else in a scrappy draw at Pontefract Collieries on Friday night.
Souter was given a straight red for violent conduct for an incident in the 56th minute where he was deemed to have headbutted an opponent following a melee in the area.
Manger Vill Powell called the incident an act of ‘stupidity’ before adding: ‘It’s irrelevant what he did or didn’t do, Brett has sprinted 40 yards to get involved in something which doesn’t concern him.”
