■ BOOTLE were comfort-beaten at home byably Kidsgrove Athletic.
The visitors opened the scoring after Callum Lovatt was left free at Theo Roberts’ back post and he made no mistake with the finish.
Bootle threatened down the left through Michael Carberry, but with little penetration beyond the 18-yard box, so Kidsgrove looked comfortable.
After the interval, Kieran Brown smashed an effort wide of a post, but Kidsgrove doubled their lead with a Lewis Bergin free-kick that took a vicious deflection off Jay McCarten and into the net.
