■WIDNES came from be-hind to secure a share of  the spoils against visiting 1874 Northwich. 1874 took the lead midway through the first half when captain Matt Woolley directed a delightful looping header into the far corner.
Widnes had made a slow start, but they levelled 13 minutes later when Tony Aghayere could only parry a Sam Turner shot to the waiting Alex McMillan, who steadied himself before finishing well.
