■ A GLORIOUS day at Seel Park played host to a game which had all the earmarks of being a dead rubber with both teams having little to play for.
However, the game proved to be an entertaining affair and the Lilywhites came out of the blocks looking to turn round their recent run of poor results.
Mason Fawns, Jack Banister and Louie Potts all had chances in the first half, but none could break the deadlock. The breakthrough
finally came in the 54th minute as Fawns’ pinpoint cross picked out Andy Leigh to tap home.
