Yeates’ wonder can’t fire Brig

MARK YEATES scored directly from a corner to ensure Bamber Bridge recorded a 1-1 draw against Nantwich Town to end the 2021-22 season.
Brig had a chance of finishing in the play-off places at the beginning of the afternoon, needing to win and for other results to go their way.
It was the visitors who had the first clear cut opening of the match, captain Joel Stair heading narrowly wide of the post from a corner on two minutes.
