THREE goals in the final 15 minutes of the second half were enough to see all three points travel back to the North East.
It also prevented Brighouse from ‘doing the double’ over their counterparts, which they were able to achieve during the last campaign.
Bradford City Loanee Bobby Pointon put The Orange Army ahead on the hour after good work from Callum Charlton down the left before cutting back, and it looked as if it might be a good day for Brighouse.
Hebburn, however, had other ideas.
