COLLS COME BACK FROM MIDWEEK THUMPING

ATHERTON Collieries bounced back from a shock four-goal loss at Marine in midweek with a resounding win.
The hosts started the better, with captain Danny Lafferty heading narrowly over, whilst Scott Bakkor was denied at the last minute following a quick counter attack 15 minutes later.
Ashton provided regular physicality from set-pieces, though the Colls defence limited their any potential opportunities, allowing only one shot on their goal all afternoon.
