■ HAVING not played a league game for the best part of a month, Stamford eased back with a convincing win over Daventry.
Stamford had a few early chances – Sean Wright hooked a shot onto the roof of the net followed by a similar effort from Jon Margetts.
Daventry’s Tom Lorraine should have done better when free before the Daniels took charge. Joe Burgess’ inviting cross was pulled back to Jack Duffy who fired home from
