■ NEITHER team scored in an even game between Prescot Cables and Newcastle Town.
After a lacklustre first half, the second half provide both teams’ number 4’s denial.
The first half provided little opportunity from both sides. John Murphy was the closest to scoring with a 50-50 and a shot off target, as well as a free-kick from Adam Hammill that led to a goal kick.
The second half had more goal-scoring chances however. Cable’s Murphy
showed skill to get a shot on target, but Joseph Slinn kept it out.
