James Murphy opened the scoring for the Rams on the 22nd minute when he netted an acrobatic effort at the far post. Bootle came into the game more as the half progressed but it was the visitors who took the lead.
After some early chances for the Bucks at the start of the second half Leon Johnson doubled Ramsbottom’s lead on the 52nd minute.
