■ COLNE and Bootle settled for a point apiece in a fiercely contested end-toend game on a heavy pitch.
Bootle took the lead after 19 minutes when Jack Mc-Gowan scored at the far post as Colne failed to clear the cross from a corner.
Bootle looked for a second goal with Ben Hodkinson forcing a good save from Colne keeper Andre Mendes with a goalbound shot.
But Colne always threatened with some great running up front by Enock Lusiama. And on the hour Bootle were reduced to ten men when Ben Roberts was sent off for his second yellow.
