■ IN a match which exploded into action in the second half, Ramsbottom opened the scoring after 51 minutes when Tony Donaldson broke down the right before laying the ball into the path of Tom Croughan to score.
Three minutes later, James Hooper equalised for the Linnets leaving keeper Turner with no chance from close in. From this point onwards, the away team dominated.
A second goal came after 74 minutes from an inswinging corner from skipper James Short which struck the far post before rebounding into the net.
