WIDNES moved to within three points of safety after twice coming from behind to beat Glossop North End.
The visitors took the lead after just eight minutes when Joe Rothwell’s effort took a massive deflection that wrong-footed Cameron Terry on its way in. But the Whites were level on the half-hour mark with Jordan Simpson rising highest to head in Stephen Rigby’s corner.
It was all to play for in the second half, but Glossop restored their advantage with Luke Nock finding the net via a deflection just after the restart.
