Todd Ferrier gave Sporting the advantage on the stroke of half-time when he fired home from the spot following a foul on Miracle Okafor.
The visitors doubled their lead soon after the break before Nat Ansu, fresh off the bench, got the home side back into the game.
The Bees buzzed following the goal and earned a chance to get back on level terms after Rhys Hoenes won a penalty, but James Ireland’s effort was well saved by Sam Arnold.
