WARRINGTON Town stretched their unbeaten run to 10 games with a 2-0 win over Stafford Rangers, consolidating their position in the playoff berths.
After four consecutive away games, it was a welcome return home from the Yellows, although Stafford proved a threat, particularly in the first half, and especially from Tom Tonks’s long throws. His flat, bullet-quick delivery resulted in a goal-mouth scramble that ended only with a sharp save from Tony Thompson.
