■ PROMOTION contenders Stamford came away with all three points in a hard-fought match against an improving Daventry Town side.
It was the hosts who took the lead in the 14th minute when captain Jack Bowen headed home a inch perfect corner from Northampton Town loanee Kai O’Keeffe.
The lead only lasted five minutes as Rob Morgan picked up on a costly defensive slip to equalise for the Daniels.
Town so nearly took the lead again as Jack Bowen just failed to connect with O’Keeffe’s teasing cross.
