STOCKTON strengthened their position in second place in the table with a hard-fought win at play-off chasing Cleethorpes.
It was a very even opening phase to a competitive encounter, with clear chances at a premium.
James McKeown was alert to make a one-handed save to beat out a fierce drive from inside the area, while home captain Alex Flett created a scramble at the other end with a cleverly flighted corner.
