SUBSTITUTE Lewis Alessandra’s late strike saw league leaders South Shields come from a goal down to earn a draw with Matlock Town and avoid only a second league defeat on home soil.
The visitors took the lead late in the first half when Connor Dimaio scored his first goal for the club. But Alessandra then equalised with five minutes left to play.
