LEEK Town produced a dominant performance with a resounding win over an in-form City of Liverpool side in front of 526 spectators.
An entertaining first half saw both sides hit the woodwork, before Aaron Opoku gave Town the lead after 40 minutes with a 25-yarder.
After Opoku had again rattled a shot against the bar, Dan Trickett-Smith made it 2-0 with a deflected effort.
A mistake in the Leek defence allowed Danny Mitchley to reduce the arrears, before Marc Grocott’s header deservedly restored the home sides two-goal lead.
