ATHERTON COLLIER-IES offered a resolute, exciting display against FC United of Manchester, clinching three points on a day where both could’ve reigned supreme.
The hosts began on the front foot, Jay Fitzmartin repeatedly finding joy down the right against a flustered Guy Hall.
A clumsy foul just outside the box was the catalyst for Fitzmartin to open the scoring, producing a peach of a free-kick strike for a fifth goal in his last seven appearances.
