■ JACK HAZLEHURT’S brace helped condemn Newcastle Town to a heavy defeat against City of Liverpool.
Hazlehurst opened the scoring after a fine City move, in a scrappy first half in which both teams struggled for chances.
However, the second half was a rout, as Hazlehurst got his second shortly after the restart, before Kevin Ellison pounced on an error by Newcastle keeper Alfie Roberts.
Halzehurst broke free to set up Allen for the fourth, before Tommy van der Laan notched a consolation for Newcastle.
