CLITHEROE produced one of their best performances of the season as they inflicted Leek Town’s second away defeat of the season.
A crowd of 1,047 watched Clitheroe goalkeeper Chris Thompson produce a number of exceptional first-half saves.
After Ross Dent had hit the foot of a Leek post, Tim Grice, Thomas Carr and Callum Moore all saw efforts rejected by Thompson, the last being tipped against the crossbar.
The winner came after 50 minutes, when Leek failed to clear a corner and Danny Wilkins drove a shot past Daniel Roberts from the edge of the box...
