SEAN Miller scored four minutes from time to boost Widnes’ survival hopes with a win over Workington. Chances were few and far between in a game that long looked like it was heading for a goalless draw.
Bobby Carroll fired off target for the Reds inside the opening minute, while Connor McCarthy managed to lob Jim Atkinson moments later for Widnes, but the ball dropped the wrong side of the target.
