■ RAMSBOTTOM came up short against in-form second-placed Leek Town.
The team from Staffordshire have had a fantastic season so far and they continued that at the Harry Williams Riverside Stadium thanks to goals from Thomas Carr, Oliver Harrison and Tim Grice.
Town scored within the first two minutes through Carr, before Harrison nodded home at the back post after 27 minutes.
The hosts won a penalty, with Jordan Scanlon scoring from the spot 15 minutes before the break.
