AFTER confirming their place in the play-offs in midweek, Spalding were comfortable winners here.
In a first half of few clear chances, Spalding’s James Clifton and Stefan Broccoli continually stretched the Gresley defence, which held firm until just before halftime. After good approach play, a Gresley corner was headed on by Nathan Stainfield for Broccoli to give Gresley the lead with another firm header.
